Description | • Vitamin K is essential for synthesis of prothrombin; thus, it plays an important role in clotting mechanisms & also has a protective effect against coccidiosis. • Deficiency of Vitamin K may cause an increase of blood spots in eggs, hemorrhages in the legs and breast and a failure of blood clotting. • Poultry is susceptible to Vitamin K deficiency. In poultry, mycotoxins & prolonged treatments with antibiotics, may cause damage on the anticoagulant action of Vitamin K. • Supportive therapy of coccidiosis and other intestinal parasitic disorders. • Improvement of hemorrhagic disorders. • Prevention of blood spots formation on egg. • Reduction of mortality rate in case of stress and cannibalism. • Repair of connective tissues in case of lesions and fractures. • In case of sulfonamides & antibiotics therapy. |
